Hey Team Dupont.
For tomorrow only BodyCombat at 6pm will be replaced with BodyPump. Thursday night classes will back to normal schedule next week.

Class changes for the Week of September 10th - September 19th

Hey Team Dupont!

Amy G. is traveling to the Big Apple from the 10th - 19th for work so here are the changes for the schedule while she is gone.

We apologize for the changes and any convenience. Classes will resume as normally scheduled when she gets back:

Monday September 10th
5:30pm BodyPump Canceled
6:30pm CXWorx Canceled
7:10pm Zumba will be the only class of the evening so make sure to join Jenn is some hip shakin and dancin.

Tuesday September 11th
Leah will be covering 6:30pm BodyPump so no class changes.

Wednesday September 12th
6:30pm BodyStep will be tuaught by Lindsey

Thursday September 13th
5:30pm Kickboxing taught by Sharon
6:30pm Pilates taught by Sharon

Monday September 17th
Leah will be covering both the BodyPump at 5:30pm and the CXWorx at 6:30pm so no class changes.

Tuesday September 18th
Leah will be covering BodyPump at 6:30pm

Wednesday Septebmer 19th
6:30pm BodyStep will be replaced with BodyCombat and Leah will be covering.

Thursday the 20th
Amy will be back and CXWorx at 5:30pm and BodyCombat at 6:30pm will be as normally scheduled. :)

Any day not mentioned above will be as the schedule states.

Here at Anytime Fitness Dupont we are a part of something bigger than you can imagine. Les Mills is world wide and you are invested in a culture, a family, ONE TRIBE. Here is a bit of Les Mills culture for you.

The Haka is a traditional Maori war dance from New Zealand. There are thousands of Haka that are performed by various tribes and cultural groups throughout New Zealand. The best known Haka of them all is called "Ka Mate". It has been performed by countless New Zealand teams both locally and internationally. It is normally performed immediately prior to the event that is to take place: e.g. sports matches, conferences, VIP functions, hui, etc.


OUR HAKA
The Les Mills Tribe are fitness warriors. We have created our own powerful warrior-call, based on a traditional Maori haka - a native tribal war dance from our indigenous New Zealand Maori people, often performed at ceremonies and as a welcome, challenge or celebration. The Les Mills haka was created by New Zealand’s leading Kapa Haka specialist (a traditional Maori performing arts group), and it holds a clear, compelling message about one Tribe working together to overcome obesity and sedentary lifestyles.





Les Mills Haka Translated:

Leader: Let your hands quiver by your side
Hands on hips,

Let me be at one with the earth

We haka in fury at sedentary lifestyles

Hey Team Dupont!
As the Olympics continue we thought we would bring you a bit of Olympic history that you may not know.
Who is this man pictured. Well, that is Les Mills himself!!!

Leslie ("Les") Roy Mills is a retired New Zealand athlete, who represented New Zealand at Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games over two decades. He competed in shot put, discus and weightlifting events. At the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he achieved his best result, a gold medal in discus.


After retiring from active competition, Mills became a gym owner in 1968 and a businessman. He was Mayor of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, from 1990 to 1998. He gives his name to Les Mills International, a company founded by his son Phillip Mills.

COME FIGHT YOUR MID WEEK SLUMP!!!

Launch week in full effect!!! Monday nights turnout was awesome!!! 27 in BodyPump and 21 in CXWorx!

Thanks to Stef for making a guest appearance tonight to team up with Leah in BodyCombat with a wopping 24 Les Mills fanatics. Then 16 came in to blast some fat in with Chrissy for a 2nd veiwing of BodyPump 82!

What can we expect tomorrow night!? BodyPump 82 with Leah at 5:30pm, BodyStep 88 with Amy is in the House at 6:30pm and then an encore of CXWorx 7 with Amy at 7:30pm. You don't want to miss these rockin fat blastin, muslce toning classes! See you there!!!

Goodbye's Are Never Easy.

We are so sad to say goodbye to one of our fellow Team Dupont instructors. Stef Anderson, is pursuing new adventures in her life and moving to Indy. Although we are sad to see her go we are so excited for her and her upcoming Journey.

Please join us Saturday, July 7th for her last BodyAttack and CXWorx class and to say goodbye and wish her the best...well at least until we get her to come back and visit us for a guest appearance. ;)

We at Anytime Fitness Dupont are always looking to bring you the best and most effective way to get in shape. You are probably familiar with the famous Home Workout P90X. Using the advanced science of Muscle Confusion, P90X is a well-organized training system that shows you how and when to change your routine for maximum results.Well now it is available for you to take in the Group Fitness Studio!

Jay Franks, certified P90X instructor will be demoing this class on Thursday July 19th at 5:30 pm. (In place of BodyAttack that night). You do not want to miss this opportunity to try this class first hand before we add it to our fall schedule.

With Summer officially here we know that many of you will be heading on vacations as well as heading to the lakes every chance you get to beat this crazy heat!

With that said we will be posting a new summer group fitness schedule this week. There will be a few less classes for the summer knowing that there will be less classes you will all be available to take due to your hectic summer schedules. We look forward to brining you more exciting classes come fall.

NO CLASSES JULY 4TH ALL OTHER CLASSES ARE ON!!! EVEN THE FRIDAY EVENING CLASSES SO BE THERE! :)

We just added a new class to our group exercise schedule and it starts this week!
Thursday from 3-4p!

Triple 20s
Three workouts in one! The class is designed to give you a
total body workout. Sweat through 20 minutes of low impact cardio,
20 minutes of low impact strength training, and finish it off with 20 minutes
of low impact stretching and core work.

This low impact class is part of our new partnership with the Ft Wayne Parks & Recs Dept and we are SUPER EXCITED to bring it to you!!

We are looking for the next group of instructors to join our team at Anytime Fitness Dupont in Fort Wayne, IN. We will be hosting a Q&A and an audition for those individuals interested in becoming Les Mills certified.

Our instructor training is not just informative, it’s inspirational. You’ll cover the 5 key elements of training - choreography, technique, coaching, connecting, and fitness magic. It’s the only training out there to transform your raw talent into a world-class performance, every time. Come Sunday at 1pm to learn more about this opportunity.


What you need to bring with you and be prepared for:
-Any current certifications. If you are not currently certified you can still attend and we can give you further info on certifications needed going forward.

-Laptop and headphones to watch a brief DVD on. If you don't have one I will have an extra one there that someone could borrow.

-If you are interested in teaching any other format other than Les Mills please be prepared to do a 5 min audition. (ZUMBA, TRX, CrossFit, or any other format you can think of.)

-If you are interested in being Les Mills certified please be prepared to learn a short track and present to me that day.

Please do not stress about this. You will not be expected to be perfect. Perfection comes from practice.
